With classic vibes reminiscent of the 90s, current hip-hop grooves, and hypnotizing lyrics, Quinyae has created a genre-bending sound that resonates with the soul. New York City’s hidden treasure, Quinyae, is a singer-songwriter from Atlanta, GA.
Performing since the early age of eight, Quinyae knew she was destined for the stage. She credits her singing to a lifetime of being a performance artist and participation in programs such as the Tri-Cities High School Visual and Performing Arts Magnet Program in East Point, GA and Atlanta’s Spelman College Glee Club.
Relocating to Brooklyn in January of 2013, her time spent here in New York has not only inspired her growth as a musician, but also as a songwriter. Quinyae was also this year’s August R&B winner of the well-known Faces in the Crowd showcase hosted by SOB’s in New York City. The Faces in the Crowd showcase is a platform for Hip Hop and R&B artists to get seen and heard by today’s most influential members of the music industry. Previous featured Faces in the Crowd performers include: Wiz Khalifa, Stalley, Royce Da 5’9, Ron Browz, Chrisette Michelle, Joell Ortiz, and Rah Digga.
With it came to the visuals to her debut EP, “D.B.L.L. (Don’t Believe Love Letters),” Quinyae trusted in the capable hands of The Plutocrats Club. These graphics would crucial branding pieces for her Soundcloud, Facebook, & Instagram social campaign.
